You had me at Alamo

I met Kalie & Josh through social media. We chatted a bit and got to know each other a little more. She is a heart disease survivor who also suffers from a few other illnesses leaving her some days weak. She asked if I would be willing to donate my services to their intimate wedding in the summer of 2018. I even offered the couple a 30 Minute engagement portrait session for this cute adorable couple.

Kalie & Josh met in Junior High and have been stuck at the hip ever since. Josh is one of those knights in shining denim that would go to great lengths to make sure his Love Kalie was comfortable.

I've never met a younger couple with so much love and maturity (in some areas!). They have endured a lot of obstacles that have taught them the biggest lesson in life. Love is patient.

A strong relationship like that can be mirrored by having a strong amazing relationship to look up to. I've had the pleasure of meeting Josh's parents and sister last year when we took some family photos in the family's home. You can see the love the parents have for their children and the partners they've chosen.

I've kept in contact with the Alamo family since we booked a year ago. I've become their go-to-photog, and I wouldn't have it any other way. They are amazing and great to work with.

This last Saturday, July 28th, was the big day! The couple had decided on an intimate backyard wedding with a rustic look and the venue was beyond gorgeous and perfect for these two. As the ladies had the finishing touches for their hair and makeup, it was time for them to present Kalie with a gift from the girls!

Here comes the bride. The ceremony is about to begin and everyone takes their places and seats. Joe & Maria walk with Josh as their youngest is about to take a wife and I can see mom's face is filled with joy and happiness. The couples friends officiated the wedding and as Josh read his vows outloud to Kalie, his voice broke a little with the promises he made to her in front of friends and family.

The bridal party got into the hummer limo and left to take group photos at Chino Creek Wetlands in Chino, Ca. This was the same location Kalie and Josh had their engagement photos taken a year prior. The group and the couple was a breeze to photograph and we hurried in our short time frame to chase the light and make it back in time for the reception.

The guests played corn hole and Jenga during the cocktail hour to pass time. A lot of hay and wooden signs were used as decoration. The decorations, cake and music was true to the couple!

During the Toasts, Mr. Joe Alamo gave an amazing toast that had me choke up a little bit as he welcomed Kalie into his family. The way the grooms parents spoke of Kalie was as if she was already their daughter. That day was just the day they made it official! He also led the family into a prayer before the food was served.

Sound Garden Productions DJ and MC the night with some great tunes and awesome lighting. Rex Smith, the videographer with RKS Productions, was fantastic and communicated with me so well so we can make sure Josh & Kalie had the best memories documented. iPhotobooth365 served some great tacos and quesadillas for the guests and Outdoor Party Paradise rented out their property and turned it into a rustic dream!
